For Hispanic / Latino families
A storybook donde tu hijo es el héroe.
Most personalized books default to a generic "stylized child." Akoni reads your child's actual photo and renders their actual features — skin tone, hair texture, expression — across all 35 pages. Bilingual edition (English + Spanish, side-by-side) available for +$10.
Stories that center hispanic / latino kids

Questions parents ask
Will the illustrations actually look like my Hispanic / Latino kid?
Akoni Books renders your child's skin tone, hair, and features accurately. Bilingual editions show English and Spanish side-by-side on each spread — both languages, one book.
Will hair texture be accurate?
Yes. We explicitly preserve hairstyle — locs, braids, twists, afro, free-flowing, with bangs, etc. — across every page. Upload a photo where the hair is clearly visible.
Is a bilingual version available?
Bilingual edition (English + Spanish, side-by-side) available for +$10.
Will the illustrations actually look like my kid?
Yes. We use your photo as a reference and render every page in watercolor style with their face, skin tone, and hair. If your child doesn't light up when they see the cover, we'll refund you in full — and you keep the book.
How fast is it?
Minutes from photo to finished digital book (fully bespoke customizations take a few minutes longer). Print orders arrive in 5–7 business days with free shipping in the US.
Is my child's photo safe?
We delete your uploaded photo within 24 hours. We never train AI models on it. See our privacy policy.
Love it or your money back. If your child doesn't light up when they see themselves in the book, we'll refund you in full — and you keep the book.
